1 Description

PixelDisplay is enabling the next generation of eye-safe displays, enhancing viewing experiences by making LED, LCD, OLED and Micro-LED display devices healthier, more colorful, brighter, battery-efficient, and portable.

1. VividColor Eye-Safe technology applies a novel approach to LED and LED-backlit LCD designs, that enables Eye-Safe with no hazardous blue wavelengths, Wide-Color Gamut with HDR, and brighter for Daylight Readability with less battery power.

2. NanoBright is an inorganic color-converting nanoparticle, that is NOT a Quantum Dot, creating a more robust approach to nano-patterned color-conversion. Effectively eliminating pick&place in Micro-LED display, and enabling patterned emissive color filters to increase LCD efficiency 66%. Additionally, nanopatterned into plasmonic and photonic structures to create highly functional films capable of color-converting+filtering+colimating+polarizing in one thin-film stack, for flexible/foldable bezel-less, thinner mobile devices.

2 Innovation

A. VividColor Eye-Safe creates displays and lighting that are eye-safe, colorful and more efficient.

The technology is a novel approach to LED and LED-backlit LCD designs, that enables three modes: i. Normal (HDR Wide-Color Gamut), ii. Eye-Safe (no hazardous blue wavelengths), and iii. Daytime (brighter for less battery power) modes.

Technology consists of:

-    Vivid Color Materials: Inorganic Phosphor and Nano-Phosphor

-    NoBlue LED Chip & Package design

-    Digital Controller IC, and Graphics Chip design

-    System Design & Software IP

B. NanoBright

NanoBright(tm) is an inorganic color-converting nanoparticle, that is NOT a Quantum Dot, creating a new approach to nano-patterned color-conversion using robust nano-phosphors. Effectively eliminating pick&place in Micro-LED display, and enabling patterned emissive color filters to increase LCD efficiency 66%. Additionally, nanopatterned into plasmonic and photonic structures to create highly-functional films capable of color-converting+filtering+colimating+polarizing in one thin-film stack, for flexible/foldable bezel-less, thinner mobile devices.

Technology consists of:

-    Micro-LED design

-    Nano-particle manufacturing including nano-sizing process technology

-    Nano-patterning lithographic technology
