Industrial Capital Financial Capital

CBT100 companies are the most profitable companies in China. In possession of a large scale of industrial capital, they have formative purchasing power and investment power, which allow them to invest in science and innovation achievements. CBT100 funds, with moderate financial capital, also possess investment power, which they may use to invest in science and innovation achievements.

Strategic Investment Financial Investment

CBT100 companies have strong demand for cutting-edge science and technology achievements in different industries. Their industrial capital can be used to make long-term strategic-led investment in high-quality science and technology projects across the globe, while financial capital owned by general funds can be devoted to short-term following strategic investment. Overall, strategic investment and financial investment are combined with each other to achieve coordinated development.

Entry Conditions

Individuals, groups, enterprises, institutions and other types of entities can all register for the competition.

The projects shortlisted in the competition should be both technologically advanced and economically feasible.

There is no bad record of the participant. The property rights of the entry projects are owned by the participants, and there is no property dispute over the entry projects.

All the projects must submit their registration materials via the official website. A total of 1,000-1,600 projects are expected to be collected (500-800 in Chinese Divisions and 500-800 in International Divisions, respectively)

Each match point

According to the area to which the project belongs, each project will participate in the offline rematch to be held in the match zone. After the rematch, a total of 200 projects will be selected for the finals. (100 in the Chinese Divisions and 100 in the International Divisions, respectively)

Join in GBI100

Online participating system is adopted in the competition. Participants can join in the competition independently by filling the project information online.

Participation in three steps

1. Click the “register” button, and register in the system as “Participant”.

2. Login and click the “apply project” button to complete project’s information.

3. Click “submit project” and participate successfully.

Competition Rules

Emphasis on Substantive Investment

The judges of the GBI100 Competition are composed of investors from CBT100 companies, CBT100 Funds, as well as investors from well-known investment institutions at home and abroad. The effective scores are composed of scores with substantive investment intentions.

Eligibility

The 100 projects with the highest effective scores are awarded for the GBI100 Excellence Awards, and have the opportunity to be accommodated in Xishan District of Wuxi (i.e. the Golden Key).

The list of qualified qualifications will be announced after the finals.

  • The project that is ranked the 1st comprehensively is eligible for the GBI100 Diamond Award;
  • Projects that are ranked the 1st in the four major fields, respectively, are eligible for the GBI100 Gold Awards;
  • Projects that are ranked the 2nd and the 3rd in the four major fields, respectively, are eligible for the GBI100 Silver Awards;
  • Projects that are ranked between the 4th–6th in the four major fields, respectively, are eligible for the GBI100 Bronze Awards;
Awarding Conditions

Award-winning projects will have to go through a public notice period of six months. If the property rights of the projects are unquestionable (e.g. there is no dispute), the willingness of investors (Specifically refers to the investor who is connected to the project via this platform and registered and certified on the platform) to invest in these projects are real, and the investment funds are in place, then the abovementioned projects can meet the awarding conditions and will be officially awarded the corresponding awards of the GBI100 Competition (Excellence awards don’t need to meet this condition). If the above awarding conditions are not met, then the corresponding award will be granted to the next project in order.

Technological advancement

Whether the technological level of the project is globally pioneering; whether the project is in possession of independent intellectual property rights, clear ownership and without disputes.

Economic feasibility

Whether the project has sufficient market capacity and bright prospects; whether the business model is clear and profitable.

Management robustness

Whether the risks of the project are controllable; whether the management team is mature and stable.

The competition platform will continue to provide ongoing services for the sustainable growth of excellent projects after the first GBI100 Competition comes to an end. If owners of projects have the intention to engage with the competition platform in the long run, then the operation status, market value and refinancing needs of their projects need to be disclosed to the competition platform every six months; otherwise applications can be made for projects to go offline.
